Orting Public Works annually flushes our water system to maintain clean, reliable drinking water. Flushing removes rust, sediment, and mineral deposits, ensuring optimal water quality. Flushing clears buildup in pipes, ensuring water quality.

On Saturday, March 15, 2025, the City of Orting hosted the Orting Valley community and the many partners who have worked on the project over the years to celebrate the start of construction with a Golden Shovel celebration. Natalie Mohn, owner of the official “Golden Shovel” was also in attendance.
