**All evacuation orders within the City of Orting city limits have been lifted**
Residents who were previously under a flood evacuation order—including those in the Village Green neighborhood and the homes off Daffodil NE—may now return home.

Foothills Trail Closure Alert.
The Foothills Trail is closed south of City Hall due to water over the trail. Contractor is mitigating the issue. Until it is resolved the trail is being closed for pedestrian safety. We will update when the trail has been reopened.

HEAVY RAIN WILL reduce visibility and cause flooding of roadways and low-lying areas. AVOID rising water. AVOID travel until conditions improve. BE PREPARED to evacuate if advised by local authorities. CHECK the National Weather Service for more information

Sandbag filling stations are available for use.
There is sand, bags, and a couple of shovels to use. We recommend bringing your own shovel in case others are being utilized. Station 1 - near the corner of Daffodil Ave NE and Rocky Road close to the Public Works Building and Station 2 - behind the Orting Station near Route 66 Pizza.

The City of Orting has been advised that CodeRED by Crisis24 has informed all users nationwide that they were victim to a targeted attack by an organized cybercriminal group.
The City was in the process of converting its alert system from the CodeRED platform to Genasys alerting when this incident occurred and we have since terminated our use of the CodeRED system.
