NOTICE OF SEPA & Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the City of Orting Safe Parking Orting Municipal Code (OMC) Update is subject to environmental review. The City of Orting is the lead agency for this proposal under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) and has reviewed the proposed non-project action for probable adverse environmental impacts and issued a determination of non-significance (DNS) for this proposal on December 6, 2024. The information is available to the public on request. Comments may be provided to the SEPA Responsible Official by 5:00 pm by December 20, 2024, to the email address listed below.

Notice is also hereby given that the Orting Planning Commission will be holding a Public Hearing during their regular meeting at City Hall, 104 Bridge St. S. in Orting, WA on January 6, 2025 at 7:00pm, or as soon thereafter as possible to receive public testimony regarding adoption of proposed amendments to OMC provisions governing Safe Parking. This project is applicable to the entire City of Orting.

All members of the public may provide testimony during the public hearing in person, via the platform Zoom, or they may submit written comments to planner@cityoforting.org prior to the public hearing. To join the meeting via Zoom:
