The City of Orting is currently designing transportation and utilities improvements for Kansas Street, between Coe Lane SW and Harman Way S to replace aging utility infrastructure which will improve safety and access for all residents and/or vehicles.
Improvements will include:
• ADA Sidewalks and 17 New Wheelchair Ramps
• Curb/Gutters
• New Paved Roadway Surfaces
• On-Street Parking
• New Street Lighting
• Upgraded Water Main
• New Stormwater Facilities
• Turn Lane at Harman Way

A: To remove and upgrade outdated water and stormwater infrastructure while improving ADA access to all residents, and to rebuild the deteriorating street with new pavement.

A: Construction is currently projected to begin in early 2025, and last approximately 12 months.
