NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

The City of Orting is proposing an amendment to Orting Municipal Code (OMC) Chapter 15.14 “Environmental Review”.  OMC Chapter 15.14 sets forth the city’s policies and practices regarding local administration of the State Environmental Protection Act (SEPA).  Chapter 15.14 was last updated in 2003, and numerous changes to state law have occurred since. The Environmental Review changes include an update to Chapter 10.16 relating to the Inadvertent Discovery of Human Skeletal Remains. The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the matter at a future date to review the proposed changes and receive public testimony.  

Public Comments: The public is invited to comment in writing. Written comments should be received no later than 1:00pm, Monday January 19, 2024 in order to be incorporated into the staff report. Comments received after that date will be entered into the record at the hearing.
