NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the Orting Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing. The purpose of this hearing is to receive public testimony regarding a proposal made by Craig Deaver on behalf of Copper Ridge LLC for a preliminary plat and planned unit development (PUD) at 303 Meadow Lane SE Parcel # 0519321001.

The proposal is for a preliminary plat and planned unit development (PUD) to subdivide an approximately 10.8-acre parcel into 41 new lots, an approximately 206,430 sq. ft. tract for open space and critical area protection (Tract A), and necessary site development improvements, such as grading, utilities, and roadway improvements. In addition to on-site improvements, the applicant will be grading and paving within Charter Park located on the adjacent parcel (Parcel 0519321017) to the west to provide a stormwater facility, a public parking lot, landscaping, and a sport court. The existing paved trail through the park will be rerouted and reconstructed as part of the work.

The public comment period ends September 29, 2023, at 5:00pm. The comment period for this Environmental Determination is 14 days from the date of issuance noted below (WAC 197-11-502). If significant comments are received, the City may issue a revised SEPA determination. If the City issues a revised determination, the City will re-open a new 14-day comment period. The public is invited to attend the public hearing. The hearing will be held at a regular Planning Commission Meeting on October 2, 2023 at 7:00pm at Orting City Hall located at 104 Bridge Street South, Orting, WA 98360 and on Zoom.
