NOTICE OF ORTING CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING

Wednesday, January 25, 2023 — 7:00 pm

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the Orting City Council will be holding a Public Hearing. The purpose of this hearing is to receive public testimony regarding the following proposed Comprehensive Plan amendments. Proposed amendments:

• Site Specific Request #1 – A citizen-initiated request for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Rezone for the properties at 510 Washington Ave N and 710 Washington Ave N from Mixed Use Town Center North (MUTCN) to Public Facilities (PF).
• Text Amendment – A staff-initiated request for a Comprehensive Plan Text Amendment would update the Capital Facilities chapter for consistency with the Parks, Trails, and Open Space (PTOS) Plan. The text amendment would also adopt the Parks, Trails, and Open Space Plan by reference as the Parks and Recreation chapter.

The hearing will be held at a regular City Council Meeting on January 25, 2023 at 7:00pm.  The City is utilizing in person and remote attendance for the hearing. Comments may be made by the public in person in City Council Chambers at 104 Bridge St. S or by a log in or call in number and then entering the Meeting ID.
