On Thursday, April 23, 2026, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., Calistoga Street West will be reduced to one-way traffic between Eldredge Avenue and 188th Street East to accommodate the 2026 Lahar Drill.
During this time, only westbound/southbound traffic traveling on Calistoga toward and across the Puyallup River Bridge will be permitted. Vehicles attempting to enter the City from the Orting-Kapowsin Highway will be stopped and turned around at 188th Street East. Please note that traffic will not alternate on Calistoga Street West during this closure and the entire northbound/eastbound lane of Calistoga Street will remain closed to vehicle traffic for the duration of the drill.
Additionally, due to existing restrictions on Kansas Street, a limited number of residents on Kansas Street SW and Coe Lane may be unable to access their homes by vehicle during this time. Nearby parking will be available near the old public works facility located at the intersection of Kansas ST SW and Calistoga ST.
Motorists are strongly encouraged to avoid Calistoga Street West between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on April 23rd, 2026 and should plan to use alternate routes.
