The City of Orting has begun construction on Kansas St SW as of March 30, 2026. This work will impact traffic at the intersection with SR-162 (Harman Way S) and Calistoga St W, including traffic control measures on SR-162 while the contractor operates in the area. Plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes when possible.

 ⏱️ During single-lane closures, delays will be limited to a maximum of 15 minutes in accordance with WSDOT Standard Specifications Section 1-07.23 (Traffic Control), which requires minimizing public inconvenience and maintaining traffic flow.

➡️ One-way traffic only will be allowed eastbound from Calistoga St W to Harman Way S for the duration of the project.
🚫 Westbound traffic will be detoured to SR-162 (Washington Ave S) at Calistoga St W — please follow posted signs.
