The Kansas Street SW Improvement Project aims to enhance the streetscape and upgrade utilities along Kansas Street SW, spanning from Calistoga Street W to Harman Way S/SR 162.  The roadway and utility improvements include the following: 

•  A two-lane roadway; one travel lane in each direction 
• Installation of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and landscaping
• Utility adjustments and upgrades
• Enhanced illumination and traffic channelization 
• Signage installation 
• Construction of curb bulbs at intersections to support traffic calming 

Storm drainage, lighting, and water main improvements will be integrated into existing infrastructure and the current gravity sewer main will remain in place.  The project is broken up into three separate schedules, Schedule A, B and C. Schedule A includes all taxable work on Kansas Street SW from Coe Lane to Harman Way S/SR 162.  Schedule B includes all water main reconstruction on the project. Schedule C includes the stormwater and roadway replacement work from the Kansas Street Outfall to the Coe Lane and Kansas Street SW.

A pre-bid meeting will be held at City Hall and via virtual Teams meeting on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with a site walk to follow.

Questions via phone will not be accepted. Bidders shall submit questions no later than 5 days prior to bid opening. No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the hours set for opening thereof, or before Award of Contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding 60 days.
