Hazards in Western Washington
Western Washington is subject to earthquakes, flooding, hazardous material spills, power outages, terrorism, volcanic activity, wildfires, and windstorms. Orting is not immune to these threats and is particularly vulnerable to earthquakes, flooding, and volcanic activity in the form of Lahars (mud flows). To learn about how the City of Orting is working to mitigate these hazards please take a look at our Emergency Management Mission.
