DID YOU KNOW that the City of Orting has ten public parks? You are encouraged to seek out and have fun finding all the parks.
The City of Orting also maintains the Foothills Trail inside the City limits only. If you see something of question regarding the trail or the area alongside the trail, please call the Pierce County Parks Department at (253) 841-2570.

Q. Whom do I call when playground equipment seems faulty or needs repair?
A. The Public Works main number is available for calls Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. If it is an emergency and a child has been injured please dial 911.
Q. How often is the park equipment inspected?
A. The parks are inspected monthly. Inspections include a 29 item checklist for playground equipment, grounds maintenance and restroom facilities. The Parks Maintenance Department takes great pride in keeping the parks and equipment safe for all who use the parks.
